Interesting - I too have a 2015 Grand C-Max 1.5TDCi (120hp) and need to look into how to access the outside-temp sensor in the LH (nearside) door mirror. Three Ford dealers told me very recently that the whole mirror unit has to be replaced, at between €400 (in France) and £200 (UK) - but I see one can obtain a replacement sensor, so

No big deal right? Probably just a bad sensor. So I go and fiddle around with the sensors, replacing each until I find the bad one. No luck. Ok must be the parking sensor module in the back driver wheel well. Replaced it. Issue persists. Next I start replacing the speakers for the parking sensors under the dash and in the rear wheel well. No dice.
Hemi 5.7. The Parking Sensor Module (Parktronics) is located to the left of the emergency brake, below the connectors for the drivers door accordion harness. You just need to pull the trim to the left of the emergency brake that goes across the drivers door rocker panel, then there are 3 nuts that hold the emergency brake on.

The parking aid module carries out self-check routines and when the parking aid is active, checks the parking aid sensor wiring for short or open circuits. If a concern is detected, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored in a memory in the parking aid module and the front and rear parking aid sensors will be disabled until the DTC is cleared

But according to my manual, the PAM (Parking Assist Module) and the PAM speaker are separate, which is good news. Both are shown to be at the right rear of the vehicle, at the end of the third row seat behind the plastic cover. Reply Like. # 3. 09-08-2011, 08:02 AM.

This makes the sensor wear out faster and eventually break down. If one sensor fails, the ABS module detects the irregularities and turns on the ABS light. A faulty or dirty speed sensor can also send wrong signals that might cause an abnormal engagement of ABS while driving. This is very dangerous, especially when driving at high speeds.
